what Matters Most

The values and commitments that guide our vision for Montgomery County.

Building Community Trust & Engagement

Safety begins with trust. I am committed to building meaningful and consistent relationships between law enforcement and our community through transparency, respect, and open communication.

My Commitments Include:

  • Regular town halls and listening sessions

  • Active partnerships with schools, faith leaders, and nonprofits

  • A visible and engaged Sheriff’s Office, not only during emergencies

  • Clear communication on public safety issues

Professional Standards, Pay, & Training

A strong Sheriff’s Office begins with strong deputies. We must support our deputies with the training, leadership, and compensation they deserve so they can serve our community with confidence, professionalism, and pride.

My commitments include:

  • Competitive pay aligned with high expectations

  • Clear rank progression and career growth

  • Comprehensive training in crisis response and tactical readiness

  • Leadership accountability and support

Transparency & Accountability

Transparency is essential, not optional. Our community deserves clear communication, timely information, and leadership that is honest, accessible, and accountable.

My commitments include:

  • Release of critical incident information within two weeks

  • Strengthened community oversight partnerships

  • Consistent body-worn camera policies

  • Open-door communication for deputies and residents

  • Structured systems for reviewing misconduct and training needs

Public Safety & Crime Prevention

My commitments include:

  • Proactive, data-driven strategies

  • Youth engagement and early intervention

  • Effective staffing and resourcing

  • Collaboration with educators, businesses, and families

  • Community-based programs that stop violence before it starts

We must focus on preventing crime, not just responding to it. Safety is a shared effort that begins early and requires collaboration, strong leadership, and proactive community engagement.
